DESCRIPTION
Xyamine™ TA1214 is one of the products in our family of tertiary alkyl primary amines. Specifically the amino nitrogen atom is linked to a tertiary carbon to give the t-alkyl grouping while the aliphatic group is a highly branched alkyl chains.
For Xyamine™ TA1214, the aliphatic group is a mixture of C12 – C14 chains.
The tertiary alkyl primary amines have very unique physical and chemical properties, among them fluidity and low viscosity over a wide range of temperature, superior resistance to oxidation, excellent color stability, and high solubility in petroleum hydrocarbons.
Xyamine™ TA1214 can function as antioxidant, oil-soluble friction modifier, dispersant, and H2S scavenger. Thus one of main applications of Xyamine™ TA1214 is as fuel and lubricant additive. It is used to improve the properties of fuels and lubricants in anti-oxidation, sludge reduction, and storage stability among others.

HANDLING AND STORAGE
Before using this product, consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for details on product hazards, recommended handling precautions and product storage.
Xyamine™ TA1214 may be stored in carbon steel equipment. Other material such as stainless steel may be used. Xyamine™ TA1214 is free of autocatalytic degeneration under storage condition. It is possible, however, to experience an increase in color on prolong storage. Color formation is minimized by inerting in the tank with nitrogen.
CAUTION! Keep combustible and/or flammable products and their vapors away from heat, sparks, flames and other sources of ignition including static discharge. Processing or operating at temperatures near or above product flashpoint may pose a fire hazard. Use appropriate grounding and bonding techniques to manage static discharge hazards.
